Q: Who’s your favorite musician?
A: Radiohead

Q: Who’s your famous doppelganger?
A: Hmm not sure I have one these days! Sometimes Tracey Ellis Ross.

Q: Where were you born and raised?
A: Born in Spokane, Raised in CA and IL.

Q: What’s your happiest childhood memory?
A: Going to our national parks or book shopping!

Q: Is there a guiding philosophy, phrase, or principle that you live by?
A: Be happy with how you live each day, as you never know when it's your last. Have no regrets!

Q: Tell us about your pets!
A: I have two dogs, an 8-year-old mixed breed rescue named Ernie and a 2-year-old St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees named Josephine. We also have 7 chickens.

Q: What inspired you to start practicing Pilates?
A: I started doing Pilates as a teen, and have always loved its focus on controlling the body, strengthening the core, and increasing flexibility. As I've gotten older, I've realized how important these things are and dove back into the practice last year.

Q: Can you recall a specific moment or achievement in your Pilates practice that made you feel proud or accomplished?
A: This past January, where I realized that I had been practicing Pilates for a third of the year! Also feeling the strength and stability that I have day to day is a huge plus.

Q: How has Pilates impacted your life beyond physical fitness?
A: Increased my mindfulness and imparted better breathing practices in my day-to-day.

Q: Have you noticed any unexpected benefits or positive changes in areas of your life that aren't directly related to fitness?
A: My husband will say I'm a much happier person when I practice compared to when I don't.

Q: How do you integrate Pilates into your daily routine, and what motivates you to stay consistent?
A: Better moving when bending or lifting, making sure I have some stretching throughout the day. When my body feels stiff, I know I need to get back in the saddle and practice.

Q: If you could give advice to someone considering starting Pilates, what would it be?
A: Go slow and don't be intimidated. It's a choose your adventure, and you can make it as easy or as hard depending on what your body needs.

Q: Are there specific Pilates exercises you swear by? Why?
A: I love Short and Long Spine, Planking, and recently the wood chopping when standing.

Q: How would you describe the sense of community and support you've found within the Pilates studio?
A: Incredibly supportive, fun to chat with, and always a bright spot to get some community time in!

Q: In what ways has Pilates helped you overcome challenges or obstacles, either physically or mentally?
A: It's given me the ability to give myself grace if things aren't going my way in the moment. Know that life is ever-changing and to accommodate how you feel now. To live more in the present.

Q: Do you have any lesser-known talents or passions?
A: Love singing, was in choir for 20 years. Outside of that, I love traveling and trying to visit new countries as often as I can.
